Ensure your device is connected to the internet. Go to Play Store, search Akida and Tap INSTALL button. Once the installation is complete, open Akida and continue to the next screen. Allow location permissions if prompted by the app.

To start using the app, type in your User ID and Password and Log In. Incase you forgot your password, click "Change Password" and follow the prompts to reset your password.

If you're experiencing issues when downloading or updating Akida from Google Play Store, it's probably due to the following reason: there's insufficient space on your device. If you're unable to install Akida due to insufficient space on your phone, follow the steps below to free up some space on your device.

Clear cache and data by going to your phone's Settings > Storage. Move some data and apps to your external SD card. Delete apps you're no longer using. Restart your phone, and then try installing again.

The location feature allows the app to share your real-time location so that you can stay in touch with your team and get support from head office when needed. The app cannot run when the location is off.

To turn on your location manually, go to Settings > Personal > Location > Turn on Location > tap Akida > Permissions > turn Location on. Try to launch Akida again, and if you still get the same error, restart your phone to allow update the changes.

Some devices have the camera disabled by default and you need to enable the camera under settings to be able to use it. To enable the camera, go to Settings > App > Permission > turn on > Calendar, Camera, Location and Storage.

Reset password is an optional feature that adds more security to your account. To help you remember your PIN, Akida will periodically ask you to enter your User ID, phone number and Country code e.g. +254 for Ke. There is no option to reset your account without the three-step verification feature. You’ll receive your new password via sms from Akida.
